The calcium alginate silver fiber compress and packing are antimicrobial, very soft and flexible and have a high mannuronic acid content. Calcium alginate fibers impregnated with silver, which exerts an antimicrobial effect. They react with exudate or blood, and form a gel that creates a moist environment for the wound.
Indicated for the treatment of very exudative, superficial or deep wounds that may be infected, such as decubitus, arterial ulcers, varicose veins of the legs, diabetic ulcers, or postoperative wounds.
